Kate Holden's memoir ' In My Skin' is brutally honest, intriguing and with written word so beautiful and engaging and yet in such stark contrast of what together those words mean. The story is surprisingly compelling, even though so horrific, and I am left feeling a little shocked at how much I enjoyed the book.
Even though the story of the heroin addict/ prostitute is not exactly something I would usually look to, to spend my precious reading minutes, the story is written so well that is gets you and sucks you in until every last page is consumed.
